Entreprenista Jalynn Jones on Realizing Her Potential to Coach Fierce Female Founders

Marion-Willis-14

Hello Jalynn! Please share a brief introduction about yourself.

I’m Coach Jalynn, The Compassionista of Sales. After a dream career in healthcare, I decided to play bigger and lead my life as a Entrepreneur and Business Coach to fierce female founders of agencies, firms, and online businesses. I help my clients build community, and sell their programs and services by leveraging the power of profitable events.

So Jalynn, what excites you about being an Entreprenista League member?

The Diversity, Exposure, Global Reach, and Opportunity for strategic partnerships

What made you decide to lean into entrepreneurship?

I leaned 100% into entrepreneurship after 5 years of side-hustling with a six-figure job. The comfort of corporate held me captive barely making $3,000 a YEAR in my business. Whew! I know. Spooky. In 2020, I met two women, Shade Adu and Shameca Tankerson and everything changed. They were clearing my annual salary a month. I didnt know this existed. Once I did, everything changed for me.

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

Hospice and Business Development

So Jalynn, would you say that you’ve always had the itch to be an entrepreneur?

Yes, I knew I’d be a millionaire at the age of 5. I didn’t know the “how”. I liked figuring out creatives ways to make my own allowances, and this is where my entrepreneurial spirit emerged.

Take us back to when you first launched your business, what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?

In 2020, I finally landed my first six-figure job; it took ten years, several relocations, and multiple companies to finally get to a place where I felt my expertise was valued. No one in my immediate family made six-figures. I thought I’d be RICH once I signed the contract to start working for one of the largest healthcare companies in the nation. Well. I began to realize that six-figures was the bare minimum of what I deserved. So I sought out to create my first digital product, an e-book. I stayed up for 18 hours pulling an all night to write this book in hopes to begin making passive income. I was so excited, I launched and mostly family and friends purchased it. The feedback was excellent. Even my beloved step father was extremely excited. So much so, he called me a few days after I launched the product online. I was so tired from staying up all night writing and launching that I told myself…”well, I’ll call him back. I know if I take this call, we’re going to be talking for a long time”. The very next day after I let his call go to voicemail, he passed away. The grief I felt inspired the launch of my current company which scaled beyond six-figures in less than two years. Yeah, the girl who used to make $3,000 a year in her business quickly set fire to statistics. All it took was possibility, belief, and a BIG why. My first launch didn’t have a plan but it did have a purpose. No real marketing plan. No real strategy. I just had the evidence from other women who looked like me that if I just took the first leap, I’d learn launching. Now, I do multiple 5 -figure launches regularly.

Entreprenistas face challenges every single day. What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way and what did you learn from it?

My biggest challenge along my entrepreneurial journey was reinventing myself with a new belief system. It’s been challenge to own my worth and seperate my worth from the value of my service. I invested at scary amounts and got into bigger rooms where there were bigger opportunities. I learned that it took just as much effort to play small that it does to play big.

Jalynn, you have lots to celebrate! What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?

I am proud of my signature event, Learn Leverage Launch Live being hosted two years in a row to help black and brown entrepreneurs clear a pathway to their first million.

Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?

Yes my best tips are leading a life led business model where the life is the chief of the business. Utilizing calendar/appointment systems that all integrate utilizing blocks and color coding.

What’s a piece of advice you can share that you wish you’d known when you first started your Entreprenista journey?

THINK BIG. Now, go find the person embodying what you just visualized. Invest in them and their time and lean all the way in.

What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community?

I am celebrating being less than $63,000 away from my first six-figure Q4.

What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

Corporate Clients. Speaking. Global Impact. Maximum Visability.
