What excites you about being an Entreprenista League member?

Meeting other like-minded women, and getting to collaborate in ways that will make impact together.

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

My first business was on my heart my whole life. I left corporate finance to pursue my dreams, and it was that business that led me to my calling of being a business coach.

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

I was a business major and went to graduate school for social work, which taught me so much about how we think. I worked in corporate finance in New York before deciding to pursue my dream.

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

Yes!

Take us back to when you first launched your business, what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?

My marketing strategy was messy and exhausting. I was spending money on magazine ads and PR before I even had an email list. I was just trying anything and everything. We were definitely attracting a lot of our clientele, but we were spending way too much with no way to track anything. It was one of my first big lessons in business and the very thing that made me get my sh*t together.

What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way and what did you learn from it?

In my first business, I lived in the headspace that I had to wear most of the hats. Instead of training someone really well to take things off of my plate, I would juggle too much and things would fall between the cracks. Hiring with intention and investing in my team was a really important part of my growth that took learning. I had to accept that in order to scale my business, I needed to stop pretending I was superwoman and be a CEO.

What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?

I often heard that it was not possible to run a 6-figure business and be a present mom. Well, I am really good at both and I have proven to myself that “they” were wrong and you absolutely can have the life you set out to have.

Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?

Oh my gosh, 100% I believe in finding your own balance, which is hardly ever actually balanced at all. Sometimes work is busier and sometimes life is busier. The fastest way to burning out (did that!!) is working yourself like crazy (hello, 2am, I see you). It does not pay off in the long-run. If that is just a season, cool, but if it a routine, you are a ticking time bomb. When things get to feel like “too much”, listen to your body. This is usually when something needs to change: hiring perhaps, or finding systems that work for you to create more space and time for yourself.

What’s a piece of advice you can share that you wish you’d known when you first started your Entreprenista journey?

Oh, I wish I had known that you will learn so much from others, and you don’t need to know everything. Those that have done it before you are the greatest resource of all.

What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community?

We launch season 3 of “Through The Marketing Lens” podcast in October 2022!

What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

My coaching programs are growing to reach more women all over the world. It’s our mission to work with and help 10,000 women by 2026.
