Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business:

After an era of working in healthcare and education, I am now using my skills and gifts in innovative ways. I founded and launched, during the pandemic, Bold Industries Group, Inc. (BIG). BIG is a conglomerate organization that encompasses my passion for business consulting and coaching through High Road Strategy as well as my talents for design and creating curated experiences through The Desig9ed Studio. All of BIG’s companies are united with the distinctive core attributes of creativity and the importance of self, design, and originality.

What excites you about being an Entreprenista League member?

Meeting female entrepreneurs who are genuine and authentic in supporting one another as well as wanting to grow their businesses!

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

Time to get radical and prioritize joy!

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

C-Suite Healthcare Executive

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

No, I always have been creative, innovate and a solution forward person, but did not realize I am an absolute entrepreneur to the core!

Take us back to when you first launched your business, what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?

It was in the beginning of the pandemic, so harder to meet anyone in person. Started with a list of 15 connections which blossomed into seven clients in six months and a near 7 figures in the first year!

What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way and what did you learn from it?

Scaling – I learned that it comes on fast and in your first year it can be challenging to identify the timing.

What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?

My family and then my S-Corp!

Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?

Balance is elusive and hard to nail down. The key is to be working in your zone of expertise that you enjoy and where you find the most joy!

What’s a piece of advice you can share that you wish you’d known when you first started your Entreprenista journey?

It easy to listen to the naysayers and those that think you are doing something out of the ordinary. The fact is, you are extraordinary and you should know that some in your current circle may not support your journey. Just keep going!

What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community?

I have recently launched THE BOLD RETREAT that brings together strategy and wellness – a retreat that is focused on both. You do not have to choose between being strategic, having time to think and taking of yourself. We have had an incredible response.

What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

I have launched 2 of my 4 businesses and I’m working on something extra special that creates a space together for all of them.
