The 2022 FedEx Small Business Grant Contest will award over $360,000 in cash grants and services to 10 small businesses. Did you apply?

We are in the voting period – where the public will help choose who they’d like to advance to the final judging round. Open from March 22nd to March 31st, you can head to the official FedEx SBGC 2022 landing page to vote for who you’d like to see win cash for their business.

Several Entreprenista’s entered the contest, and we’re so excited to see where this contest takes them. Below are just a few of the women who entered from our Entreprenista League – we encourage you to cast a vote!

Jill Apgar – Founder of Coco Beans

Apgar’s products at Coco Beans use the natural magic of 100% silk to deliver better sleep for little beans (and parents, too). 100% silk is naturally hypoallergenic and temperature regulating and the smooth surface makes it ideal for delicate hair and skin! Her first product is a 100% silk crib sheet.

Up next for Apgar will be introducing new colors and prints as well as expanding the product assortment beyond crib sheets. As her brand grows, she intends to stay true to her values of inclusivity and diversity by building a female-led organization with women representing many racial and professional backgrounds.

Abbe Feder – Fertility Coach, Founder of InCircle Fertility

Abbe Feder became an expert on infertility after going through a traumatic pregnancy experience not once or twice, but 12. With twelve scientifically assisted attempts, a miscarriage, an ectopic pregnancy, and a termination for medical reasons. Once she finally emerged on the other side of the rainbow, she knew that it was part of my life’s path to help others along their way.

Feder is looking to scale in many ways. While she thrives with the one-on-one (really two on one!!) impact she is making, Feder wants to be able to broaden her reach and help more women. In the works currently are partnerships with clinics, and potentially adding inspirational products to help those handling the grief of infertility on a daily basis.

Elisa Molina – CEO of COVEDOZA

Elisa Molina is a multi-passionate entrepreneur, a first-time mother, and Founder and CEO of COVEDOZA – an Afro-Latina owned brand created for the passionate feminist with a mission to uplift the voices and artwork of Black, Indigenous and Women of Color (BIWOC) artists via print collaborations.  COVEDOZA creates feminist apparel and accessories for women seeking to speak up about inequality, representation and body positivity.

Molina has a huge vision as to how she wants to grow her business into what she envisions next. Some of her next priorities include launching an internship program and my very first COVEDOZA podcast!

Kristen Tomlan – Founder of DŌ Cookie Dough

Kristen Tomlan is the CEO and inspiration behind DŌ, Cookie Dough Confections, the world’s first edible cookie dough confectionery. Her flagship shop in Greenwich Village is a New York City destination for locals and tourists alike, and her brand has expanded to include multiple retail outlets & pop-ups, a growing e-commerce business, virtual baking classes, and at-home safe-to-eat cookie dough mix!

DŌ is all about spreading joy. Tomlan’s next goal is to open her shipping capabilities to be nationwide. Spreading joy shouldn’t be limited by shipping costs, and the FedEx Small Business Grant would help DŌ bring smiles and comfort to even more people across the US.
